Cat Estates ("we," "us") operates catestates.com. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it. The short version: we collect the minimum needed to run the site, we never sell your information, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.

What we collect

• Waitlist: your email address, so we can tell you when ordering opens.
• Accounts: your email address and a password. Passwords are stored only as one-way cryptographic hashes; we cannot see or recover your actual password.
• Designs: the house designs you save, including the options you chose and a preview image, linked to your account.
• Technical basics: like most websites, our server keeps standard access logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and troubleshooting.

What we don't collect

We do not collect payment information (nothing is for sale yet), we do not run third-party advertising trackers, and we do not sell or rent any personal information to anyone.

Cookies

We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in and to protect forms against abuse. It is not used to track you across other websites. Your browser's local storage remembers small preferences, like whether you already joined the waitlist, so we stop asking.

How your information is used

• To operate your account and show you your saved designs.
• To email the waitlist when ordering opens. One announcement, not a marketing barrage, and every email includes a way to be removed.
• To keep the site secure and fix problems.

Where it lives and how it's protected

Data is stored on our hosting provider's servers in the United States. Connections to the site are encrypted with HTTPS, passwords are hashed, and the database is not directly reachable from the web.

Your choices

You can delete any saved design from your account at any time. To delete your account entirely, or to be removed from the waitlist, email hello@catestates.com and we will remove your information within 30 days.

Children

Cat Estates is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Cats of all ages are welcome.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update this page and note the new date at the top. Questions: hello@catestates.com.
